  • Line is using compelling stencil graffiti, we can found throughout major cities on walls and billboards.

  • Space is American height. Because it's can attract the focus who walk on the street. Background is always is walls.

  • Color is light tone. Usually is black, white & Grey, colors no more than 3 colors.

The following seven examples illustrate the fascinating range of Banksy’s life and works through his most controversial and compelling projects.

Principles & Style of Banksy

  • Much of his unity art is freely (and illegally) and selective focus drawn on public surfaces. Draw in the attention of audience & context , the media, mainly the adult generation and people that are both politically and culturally aware.

  • Banksy have make it visual apparent, he works against the mass media establishment, but has been featured in local, national, international news. To emphasis shock and inform, using humour, satire, mystery and surprise, with anonymity and controversy as key.

  • Proportion shows us what is important, dominant or subordinate in a layout. The people can catch picture with the picture.

  • Creative strategy, he use the asymmetry to brings variety, tension, movement through is playful or complex balancing of visual mass. He is on some level clearly a geek at heart but at the same time his art is always on the cutting edge.

Emulate Banksy’s Style

He avoids the abstraction of traditional tags, instead creating (often photo-realistic) urban street art images that respond to a given context and contain some form of social commentary.

Of course, these are all highly illegal, which is part of the reasonBanksy hide his identity.

Banksy's Wall and Piece

  • We can’t do anything to change the world until capitalism crumbles. In the meantime we should all go shopping to console ourselves.

  • I used to tell everyone I met to be an artist..... I don't do that any more.

  • Sometimes I feel so sick at the state of the world I can’t even finish my second apple pie.

  • People who should be shot: Fascist thugs, religious fundamentalists, people who write lists telling you who should be shot.

  • Some people become cops because they want to make the world a better place. Some people become vandals because they want to make the world a better looking place.

  • I'd been painting rats for three years before someone said "that's a clever anagram of art" and I had to pretend I'd known that all along.

  • People who enjoy waving flags don't deserve to have one.
